All projects that Jinpa undertakes originate with requests from the people. The needs are many. Villages are remote, difficult to reach, and very poor. Less than 1% of the population are literate in even Tibetan let alone Chinese. The average annual income is less than $20 per year. To date Jinpa has focused communication, education, and health. To these ends, specific projects have been the building of bridges, schools, medical facilities, and clean water supplies.
